A celebration of the high achievers who truly represent the purpose and values of National Australia Bank.
Honour is a recognition program that celebrates NAB’s high achievers – those who consistently deliver outstanding business performance and demonstrate their company values and behaviours. The Honour Program, which was created with the help of GPJ in 2017, provides networking opportunities between top performers and senior leadership to motivate and inspire employees to perform at a consistently high level.
In 2018, the bank challenged GPJ to take the learnings from the first year and improve on it for year two. Previously held in NSW’s Hunter Valley, the Honour event moved to the Gold Coast with an event narrative that focused on the bank’s purpose and values – which included Passion for Customers, Win Together, Be Bold, Respect for People and Do the Right Thing.
This focus was applied to all messaging starting from when the participant is selected for the Honour Program and continuing through after the event to turn participants into advocates for their values and purpose.
GPJ created a program to amaze, inspire and connect with attendees. The program included professional speakers and entertainers as well as NAB customers, who highlighted their relationship with the company, and the leadership team who facilitated staff growth sessions.
The program also provided ample opportunities for networking, relationship building and sharing experiences, including inclusive and fun activities that aimed to appeal to a wide demographic, while also catering for individual preferences. Experiences were related to technology, food and wine, visual creations and physical activities.
The 2018 Honour Program was a resounding success, featuring:
- 338 honourees
- 309 honourees attending in person
- 95% overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees
